David established David James Limited in 2007 with the vision of creating a reputable dealership specialising in sports, performance, and prestige vehicles. Having worked in the motor trade since the age of 20, David brings more than 27 years of industry experience to the business.

With extensive expertise in buying and selling, David has developed a reputation for his keen eye for quality and his passion for sourcing some fantastic cars. His commitment to high standards has shaped the growth of David James Limited, ensuring the dealership is recognised for both its premium stock and its customer service.

Today, David continues to lead the company with the same dedication and vision that defined its beginnings, supported by a team that shares his appetite for delivering excellence in every aspect of the business.

Joanne joined the business in 2015 and has been a cornerstone of the team ever since. As our Financial Director, she keeps a sharp eye on the numbers, ensuring everything adds up and runs smoothly behind the scenes. But Joanne’s role doesn’t stop at the balance sheet.

Affectionately known as the “Mother Hen,” she’s the glue that holds the team together. Joanne keeps the team in check with her unique style of leadership and trademark sense of humour. Whether it’s offering support, sharing a laugh, or making sure things stay on course, Joanne brings a personal touch that keeps the team on point.

Put simply: if something needs doing – or someone needs a nudge – Joanne’s already on it.

In her spare time, Joanne enjoys camping, spending time with her family and is a huge fan of Newcastle United.

David joined the business in 2023, bringing with him over 25 years of experience across various sectors of the motor industry. Since joining, he has progressed into the role of Senior Sales Executive, where his extensive knowledge and professional approach have made him an integral part of the team.

With a strong focus on sports, prestige, and performance vehicles, David is committed to delivering a high standard of service and building lasting relationships with customers. His results-driven mindset and deep understanding of the specialist market contribute directly to the continued success of the dealership.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and coaching junior football with North Shields.

Chris joined the David James team in 2020 and has been a valued member of the sales department ever since. With a friendly, approachable manner and a commitment to great customer service, Chris works hard to ensure every customer has a smooth and positive experience.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending quality time with his family and socialising with friends – always making the most of his downtime.

Jack joined the business in 2024, starting his journey in our Aftersales department. With a strong background in customer-facing roles across various sectors in retail, he quickly became a valued member of the team. In January 2025, Jack brought his experience and enthusiasm to our Sales team, where he continues to deliver excellent service and build lasting relationships with customers.

Outside of work, Jack enjoys socialising with friends and spending time behind the wheel of his ever-growing fleet of cars.

Robbie is the newest member of our sales team, having joined David James in August 2025. With a background working for prestige brands at main dealer level, he brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the role.

Since joining, Robbie has hit the ground running and is thriving in his new environment. He’s quickly adapted to the more relaxed and friendly vibe here at David James and is enjoying building strong relationships with customers in a setting that values both professionalism and a personal touch.

Jamie joined our Aftersales Department in 2024 and has quickly become an integral part of the David James team. With vast experience in motor trade aftersales, Jamie has played a key role in the significant growth and development of our service operation.

Overseeing a team of 12 across both our Service and Preparation Departments, Jamie ensures everything runs smoothly – from customer care to vehicle readiness – with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Outside of work, Jamie is a passionate Newcastle United supporter and a dedicated music fan. When he’s not cheering from the stands, you’ll often find him gigging across the UK, enjoying live music wherever he can.
